"After roasting two championship winning coffees on the Bullet I feel qualified to claim that it is on par with larger commercial machines in terms of the quality it is able to produce."
"I bought the Bullet R1 in 2018 to use for competition roasting. At the time I was considering the Ikawa, the Stronghold and the Bullet, and out of the three the Bullet seemed to me the strongest in terms of innovation and the one most similar to a commercial roaster in terms of capabilities and versatility. After roasting two championship winning coffees on the Bullet I feel qualified to claim that it is on par with larger commercial machines in terms of the quality it is able to produce."
"The Bullet has also held up well as a production roaster in my small business. At first I was only roasting 5-6kg per roast day, but recently I am doing 20kg roast days several times a week. The only limitation in the Bullet is the size of the chaff collector and the need for weekly cleaning at those kinds of volumes – small issues to my mind. I whole-heartedly recommend the Bullet to others who are thinking to start a business the same way I did – small, with steady growth until you are able to expand."

"The Bullet R1 gives me pretty incredible control, which allows for consistency roast to roast. The Bullet also gives me a lot of flexibility to roast even single bags to order with plenty of control. So Prototype is an alternative approach to coffee roasting where I try to maximize both quality and flexibility."
"The thing that makes us a little different from other roasteries is that we usually have around 15 coffees available at any given time. The “roasting bar” with the three Bullets gives us the flexibility to roast small batches of a lot of coffees as we need them to restock our retail shelves rather than doing big batches of a few coffees. It's makes for a leaner and tighter manufacturing model that's been working really well for us. The extra flexibility means that we tend to take more risks with the coffees we bring in—trying out unusual processing methods, origins, or higher end coffees that you wouldn't see at a lot of other roasteries."

"The Bullet R1 has been amazing to roast on for the past 3 years. The fact that it simply plugs into a 110V socket and can produce consistent results is amazing! You guys at Aillio are also constantly looking for user feedback which has greatly improved the software and firmware over the years while incorporating requests from us users which has been amazing!"

"I think one of the deciding factors for us choosing the Aillio Bullet and being in Brooklyn was the giant convenience of it. Everything is centered around space and room when you are living in Brooklyn. And how little there is. The transportability, the small carbon footprint it leaves behind, and the size were big deciding factors in choosing the Bullet. Also important to note was the ability to produce amazing coffee on it. The control and ability to dial in a roast how you like was a big factor. The Bullet has propelled our company to grow to a larger scale and needing a larger commercial roaster!"

"Eleven Speed Coffee was started in the Fall of 2017 using Bullet #726 – an exceptionally robust, easy to use and learn on roaster. We typically roast light (Scandinavian style) 45 -70 seconds into first crack, the Bullet is a superstar at this roast level. My company has grown well to the point of roasting 120kgs a week – a bit much time wise, but the machine powers through well. I have had a few issues, which honestly are to be expected with my use, all issues have been handled and resolved well. I have upgraded to V2 and replaced the drum motor."

"When I moved to Florida in 2015, I landed my first wholesale account, at which point I needed to upgrade my tiny home roaster. Enter the Bullet. I have been roasting on a 1st generation R1 (with some updated parts) ever since. Buying into something that has not yet been tested by consumers is always a risk. Aillio has done a great job listening to the consumer and constantly making improvements on the original R1 model. Anytime I had an issue that I was working through, they were right there with me (albeit thousands of miles away). I once posted on a discussion forum about potentially inaccurate bean temp readings, and a week later I had, to my surprise, received a new probe from Taiwan. 4 years later, my machine is more stable than it was when I purchased it."
